Supporting Women in Their Childbearing Years
Inspired by the Gospel story of the visitation of Mary and her older cousin, Elizabeth, an organization was founded to support women in their childbearing years.
Our dream is that this ministry will help the church truly celebrate the gift of each child conceived and born, and fully mourn each miscarriage & infant death.
By sharing personal stories and similar experiences, women are able to support, encourage, and assist one another during this unique time in their lives. Elizabeth Ministry reaches out in times of celebration and in times of sorrow.
The purpose of this ministry is to provide support, comradeship, spiritual guidance and encouragement. The following are some specific areas of involvement: Pregnancy support, celebration of birth, Grandparent support, miscarriage and infant or child loss, fertility and infertility, adoption, infant or child crisis.
The Rosebud Program (see below) is a method of communication/prayer between the woman and her minister/mentor.

The Rosebud Program
The Elizabeth Ministry of our parish offers the Rosebud Program. The rosebuds are a visual reminder of the precious blessing of new life, and are located in the church vestibule. If you are pregnant, have just given birth, adopting, had a loss, or trying to conceive…. You are invited to take the appropriate color rose from the basket; fill in the attached card, and put the rose in the vase. You may take a prayer card for your personal meditation.
The vase is checked weekly by Elizabeth Ministers who pray for and/or contact those who have filled out the rose cards. Prayer intentions will be offered by the Elizabeth Ministry Volunteers [?and other groups in the Parish?].
If you are a parishioner in one of the above situations, and would like further individual support from one of our volunteers, please contact any of the following:
